Californian Cuisine showcasing market fresh ingredients,Shareable Plates, and Signature Cocktails
SAN FRANCISCO – Introducing a combination of market-fresh starters and entrees, Horizon Restaurant and Lounge offers diners a variety of options. Horizon is located in Downtown San Francisco's very own North Beach and is quintessential San Francisco. As artisanal, sustainable, and other “foodie” terms make their way into the dining vernacular, restaurant-goers are paying as much attention to their cocktail snacks as they are multi course meals. Horizon Restaurant and Lounge takes every bite seriously by using some of California's freshest ingredients.
“We wanted to create a relaxed space where every dish is done deliberately, freshly and above all deliciously. Whether it’s a casual bite with a cocktail, an easy supper or a full blown occasion, we’re making sure the meal is remarkable.” Says consulting chef Ola Fendert of Oola Restaurant and Bar and of the now open Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant.
Starters include seasonal salads, housemade dungeness crab cakes, and Wagyu Kobe beef sliders. Entrée feature market fresh ingredients and showcase foods such as Crispy Chicken Salad with Baby Iceberg Lettuce romaine. Enjoy a heavier dishes such as our Beef Short Ribs served with green beans, and topped with a Cauliflower Celery Root Puree or try our Wagyu Kobe Beef (Oregon) Chef's Choice Burger topped with pepper jack cheese, smoked bacon, avocado and served on a brioche bun with classic fleur del sel fries. Highlights from the dessert menu include Fresh Fruit Tart, Opera Cake, Chocolate Raspberry Marquis.
Mark Bright, sommelier of Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant and Oola Restaurant and Bar, handpicked the restaurant’s wine list.
Horizon is divided into lounge and dining areas. Modern furnishings create a clean, sleek feel throughout. The combination of low and high tables provide a place to rest, enjoy a cocktail, and contributes to the upscale diner atmosphere. All are welcome to sidle up to the bar where contemporary steel and leather stools face the bartenders and cooks. Encircling the entire space is a 360 degree light that literally creates an indoor horizon line.
